Kevin Clarke - Director
Kevin graduated from the University of Dundee in 2009 with a Masters in Architecture. In his final year of university, he won the award for "Outstanding contribution to the School of Architecture" for his thesis project exploring the feasibility of converting derelict properties in Orkney into sustainable community buildings to spark a regeneration of architecture on the island. He has extensive experience in residential, conservation, commercial and hotels/leisure sectors. With over 10 years experience specialising in the hospitality and high end residential sectors, he has worked on numerous award winning and prestigious projects, including Hilton Ageas Bowl and The Ned Hotel for Soho House at 27 Poultry. Through his career he has worked at award winning practices in both the UK and Ireland including, EPR Architects, Arup Associates, Allan Murray Architects and Cooney Architects. He has a particular understanding of working with existing buildings, especially heritage and listed buildings across London. Throughout his career he has worked on Grade l and Grade ll listed buildings across the U.K. as well as many locally listed buildings in conservation areas. Sustainable and holistic design has become a key element to how he approaches each project. He believes that by combining the clients brief with relative precedent and utilizing the site to its full potential is the key to every project, large or small. Kevin is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and is registered with the Architects Registry Board. |
Constantinos Nicolaides - Project Architect
Constantinos graduated from the University of Thessaly (Greece) in 2015 with a Masters in Architecture Engineering. He has also obtained a Masters degree in Urban Design from UCL in 2016. In 2019 he went on to complete a further Postgraduate Diploma in Architectural Professional Practice at the University of Westminster. He has experience in the residential sector, having worked in numerous projects in London and the southern home counties. Through his career he has also worked for J&P Avax, one of the major construction companies in Greece, on the conversion and refurbishment of the emblematic One Athens apartment building in the heart of Athens. He has particularly worked with existing buildings across London and Surrey. Having worked on various different briefs and across numerous sectors, he has a particular understanding of the clients needs in relation with each respective project. Constantinos is an associate member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and is registered with the Architects Registry Board. |
Eleni Ragia - Project Architect
Eleni graduated from the University of Thessaly (Greece) in 2018 with a Masters in Architecture Engineering. She has experience in residential sector whilst she worked on house conversions and refurbishments in both the UK and Greece. Her design approach is focused on creating user orientated spaces with the use of modern technologies. She carries out projects from concept to detailed design always aiming for unique high end results. She has participated in numerous Architecture and Arts workshops, including her participation in the Biennale of Athens 2015-2017 “OMONOIA” in a research team exploring the connection between housing and identity in a contemporary society. |
Michela Lizzio – Project Architect
Michela graduated from the Mediterranea University (Italy) with a master’s degree in Architecture. She is a fully qualified Architect in Italy and is registered with the Architects Registry Board in the UK. She has experience in the residential sector such as extensions and loft conversions, and also a background in Renovation and Restoration for residential buildings. She has carried out projects from the concept to the detailed design, focusing on human comfort being the essential base for every project. She collaborated with the Mediterranea University for the restoration of Saint Trinity Church in Monforte S. G. (Italy), for which she was awarded with the prize ‘Premio San Giorgio 2018’. |
Ionut Girneata - Architectural Assistant
Ionut graduated from the Roma Tre University (Italy) in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. He has also been a Teaching Assistant at Quasar Design University in Rome (Italy). He has experience in the residential sector, having provided freelance architectural services in London. He has led on house extension projects from initial programming and design phases through to the granting of final project approval. He has also worked with Landscape Architect M.E. Marani on several projects for ancient roman gardens in Rome and on a wide scale landscape project for Isola di Pantelleria, collaborating with Sapienza University of Rome. He achieved an honorable mention at the “Festival del Verde e del Paesaggio” with “La Grande Zolla” project in 2016. |
Jordan Ferguson - Architectural Assistant
Jordan graduated from university of Portsmouth in 2018 with BArch Architecture and is planning to complete his masters in Architecture in the future. While studying in university he travelled to Lisbon, Portugal to visit, sketch and explore some of their most iconic architecture. For fun Jordan enjoys sports, travelling and participating in architecture competitions; most recently competing in the 24hours biomimetics competition (by IDEASFORWARD). Alongside working with KJC architecture he attends skill-developing architecture workshops organised by Stephen Lawrence building futures programme and architecture practices around the U.K. |
Sophie Clarke – Director
Sophie has worked in the civil service for a number of years, working in Investigation Services across the Government. In 2019 she left the civil service to join KJC and pursue her career as an Interior Designer. Sophie now manages the office and accounts as well as being the main Interior Designer for KJC Architects. |
