Our clients approached us prior to purchasing this 4 bedroom detached house in Cheam. We carried out a feasibility study to assess the potential of the house and quickly established that the clients brief would be achievable if we were able to extend the house in a certain way, which included a 90sqm loft conversion.
The house was incredibly run down when they bought it but has been transformed with a rear and side extension to the main house. The design tried to reuse many of the existing features to acknowledge the existing fabric of the house. One of the most successful elements that was reused was the parquet flooring on the ground floor which was sanded down and oiled to achieve a stunning finish in the office and gym.
