A mixed-use scheme in the heart of Mitcham town centre. KJC were appointed to comprehensively repurpose and extend the existing 1960’s building, introducing a new contemporary façade that compliments the existing Victorian street scene.
The proposal involves a two-storey extension to the existing building which includes a zinc clad top storey. A five-storey extension to the rear will match the new building height providing an enlarged footprint across all storeys, maximising the potential of this prime town centre location. Commercial use is proposed at ground floor, with much needed town centre residential accommodations proposed to the upper storeys.
