Dalmer
This project involved the demolition of the existing house and the construction of a new five-bedroom, three-bathroom, detached house within an area of special local character in Wallington, South London. The build was completed in late 2024. Photo's above of the completed project and below is the construction as it happened as well as the initial models that inspired the build.
The client’s brief was for a modern, contemporary house which had to successfully integrate with the surrounding architecture. A strong design concept was established early on for a double gable at the front and rear in white render with feature glazing overlooking the Lavender fields to the rear.
Internally the house benefits from a double height living space with full height glazing and first floor gallery accessed via the sophisticated American Oak timber staircase with contemporary timber panelling. The large entrance hallway has views into the garden, and out toward the lavender fields at the rear of the property.
The house was constructed using the Kingspan TEK Building System; a factory produced, high performing thermally insulated panel system. This high-quality manufacturing allowed for a reduced period for onsite work and machine cut accuracy from drawing through to finished article. To compliment the high performing construction, the house has a fully integrated MVH system, and photovoltaic panels that allows the house to be self-sufficient with its energy needs.

A video fly through of one of two contemporary new build designs that we are currently working on. The south facing balconies act as solar shading for the internal spaces below. The dramatic double height entrance and living space allow for a visual both connection vertically and horizontally.
