Lambourne Avenue
Lambourne Avenue is a large new build house in the affluent area of Wimbledon Park, just a stone’s throw from the Wimbledon Tennis Club.
The project involves the demolition of the existing house and the construction of a new 4-storey detached house including an expansive basement and accommodation in the loft space. Taking inspiration from the surrounding area, the exterior design combines sympathetic local design features with carefully defined brick details. The elevations have been sculpted to break up the massing to create a shape that has varying levels of depth but is not overbearing.
The new build allows for the construction of a new basement, which creates the opportunity for a games room, cinema room, office, and large lounge space. The basement spaces open onto a large lower courtyard space.
The ground floor encompasses 2 generous living spaces, a large open-planned kitchen, a grand hallway with a contemporary spiral staircase, and a charming dining space that opens out onto an exterior terrace and large garden.
The house has 6 large bedrooms, all with en-suites and walk-in wardrobes. The master suite along with a rear bedroom, has access to a rear balcony which has views over the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
Planning was approved in early 2023.
