Malawi Office - New Build
|
KJC Architects were appointed to design and deliver a new 2,500 sqm headquarters building in Malawi for one of our largest London-based clients, establishing a landmark presence for their operations in the region.
The project brings together contemporary workplace design with a strong emphasis on material quality, spatial clarity, and environmental response. The building is conceived as a modern, light-filled workspace, with expansive glazing and open-plan office floors that promote collaboration, flexibility, and connectivity. At the heart of the scheme, a striking reception space is defined by a sculptural curved rammed earth wall, grounding the building in its local context while introducing a rich, tactile materiality. This feature sets the tone for a carefully curated interior palette that blends natural textures with refined, high-end finishes throughout. |
The workplace environment is complemented by a suite of premium meeting and collaboration spaces, including a formal boardroom with bespoke joinery and integrated lighting, designed to reflect the client’s global stature.
A key element of the design is the chairman’s suite, accessed via a dedicated private lift. This exclusive level provides a highly refined environment, incorporating executive office space, private meeting areas, and lounge facilities, all finished to a luxury standard with bespoke detailing and carefully controlled natural light. The result is a sophisticated headquarters that balances international corporate identity with a strong sense of place, delivering a high-performance and enduring workplace for the client’s continued growth in London and beyond. |
